The WILMA Real Estate Group is a leading company in the development and realization of affordable housing in Germany. With over 80 years of experience, the company focuses on enabling many people access to homeownership through dedicated and focused action.
The rebranding process notably involved redesigning the Wilma logo, which originally symbolized the roof of a building. This design element was reinterpreted, and the triangular shape was carried over into the new logo. It transforms the roof element of the old logo into a sleek custom typemark that is easily recognizable and legible. Simplified to a single initial "W," it can be used to brand even the tiniest spaces, such as social media icons.
Following an extensive strategic rebranding process, the new brand claim "Neue Freiräume," loosely translated as "new spaces for freedom," emerged from collaborative efforts with stakeholders. Positioned as an enabler of personal freedom, the brand's design reflects this ethos with a "free" and "floating" layout. Extending the duotone color palette, new shades imbue lightness and warmth, while the accent color injects energy and activity. The result is a modern, balanced look and feel for the WILMA brand.
The new communication concept is rooted in the idea that WILMA is a one-stop destination for all needs of their future home owners. Be it innovative products or smart services WILMA unites everything under one roof to make buying property easy and joyful.
